The Most Memorable Feedback
I want to share my story about the most memorable feedback that changed me into a better programmer. It all started when I applied to a company for my internship through Kampus Merdeka. After passing the skill test evaluation, I received an invitation from the company for an interview.
That was my first interview for something I was truly passionate about. When the interview began, I was asked to answer questions about the frameworks and programming languages used by the company. There were some questions I could answer and some I couldn't. I had been learning the company's programming language for a few months, but I hadn't mastered it yet. Still, I tried to demonstrate as much knowledge as I could.
At the end of my interview, the examiner advised me to learn more about the programming language used by the company. Specifically, they recommended learning to code without relying on libraries, as I had often used libraries to simplify my coding process.
I took that as feedback to develop good programming habits. I applied this not just to the company's programming language, but to all languages I learn. Now, I try to code without relying on libraries. It's challenging at first, but with practice, I'm improving! This feedback has truly changed how I approach programming. I feel more confident in my understanding of programming languages, and my skills have improved significantly. I'd like to thank the examiner—your feedback means a lot to me!
